MMA Fighters stopped robbery!

Mixed Martial Arts has other functions other than entertainment inside the octagon after all. I got bored with writing my essay that I decided to read the latest news in the web. And I came across this one about the MMA fighters stopping the robbery.

The news says that the two guys came from Oregon came to Los Angeles to join a grappling tournament over the weekend but apparently they ended up using it in a more useful and meaningful way: saving a life. They were able to stop a robber who was trying to rob the clerk in the hotel that they were staying in.

The two fighters that I’m talking about in here are Brent Alvarez and his student Bill Denney. According to them, they were walking in the corridor when they saw the robber go to the counter and asked the clerk for the money. The clerk gave it but at the same time called for help. They immediately went after the robber with Alvarez holding his wrists while Denney gave him a choke. The police arrived later on.

I give Alvarez and Denney a big round of applause! It was a job well done! But for now I better go back to my essay writing! Writing this blog is taking up so much of my time!
